Doors Open Minneapolis has so much to offer that it's impossible for anyone to experience in a day - but the Meet Minneapolis Visitor Center is here to help you try! We provide recommendations on experiences, restaurants, things to see, and the best ways to get around the city. During Doors Open weekend on May 18 and 19, come visit us at 505 Nicollet Mall to pick up your official program guide and get helpful directions, refuel with a free snack, and check out our apparel and souvenirs from local artists and retailers. Join Urban Sketchers Twin Cities to see and share Minneapolis, one sketch at a time. Spend a part of your day drawing Doors Open venues and city sights - no experience needed! A special event drawing kit will be provided by sponsor Wet Paint, and Urban Sketchers Twin Cities will be there to help get you started with sketching tips and tricks.

Saturday, May 17th 10am-12:30pm: Xcel Energy Hydroelectric Plant Water Power Park, Pillsbury A-Mill, Stone Arch Bridge
Meeting Point at 10am: Pillsbury A-Mill sidewalk ( 400 S 4th St )
Rain alternate: Pillsbury A-Mill lobby
Join Urban Sketchers Twin Cities for sketching at Pillsbury A-Mill and adjacent venues such as Xcel Energy Hydroelectric Plant Water Power Park, Stone Arch Bridge. At 12:15pm we’ll meet again at the sidewalk outside Pillsbury A-Mill (Rain alternate: Pillsbury A-Mill lobby) to share sketches and take a group photo.
Sunday, May 18th
10am-12:30pm: Coco LLC in the Minneapolis Grain Exchange
Meeting Point at 10am: ground floor lobby of the Minneapolis Grain Exchange ( 315 SE Main St )
Join Urban Sketchers Twin Cities for sketching at Coco LLC in the Minneapolis Grain Exchange and the adjacent Minneapolis City Hall venue and the urban streetscape at the Federal Court Plaza. At 12:15pm we’ll meet again in the ground floor lobby of the Minneapolis Grain Exchange to share sketches and take a group photo.
